Off The Grid

There was a little bit of predictability with this, in that you knew Joe, Sheridan, Nate, and GB 53 would all end up in the same place. I guess it's hard to have a story otherwise. It's also hard to have good dialogue when two of your main characters are men of few words.
That being said, I enjoyed this one just slightly more than Open Season (the only other Pickett I have read). If you like mystery that's not too grisly and borders on old school western novels, then this is your jam for sure.
Story was good, ending was satisfying, and Joe wrecks two more trucks for the state of Wyoming. I also thought Sheridan would be smarter: going camping with people your roommate has only met online? No. Handing over your cell phone to these people before going out into the desert with them? Hell no. Stay home and read a good book instead Sheridan.
