Haunting Christmas Tales by Joan Aiken

4.0

Over the last few months, I’ve been really into reading (or rereading) the scary books of my youth, like the Point Horror collection. When I saw this Christmas horror anthology with its delightfully cheesy cover, I knew I had to read it over the holidays! After all, during the Victorian era, people used to read ghost stories to each other at Christmas time. As is the case with almost all anthologies, a few of the stories fell flat for me, but I especially liked Jingle Bells, The Weeping Maid, The Investigators, The Other Room and Across the Fields. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
