Ike and Dick: Portrait of a Strange Political Marriage by Jeffrey Frank

4.0

This is a fascinating book where the author focuses on the relationship between Presidents Eisenhower and Nixon. The friendship ebbs and flows and you get the impression Nixon wanted more from Ike that the general was capable of giving (due to his personality). They were very different people. There are parts of the book the author gives the reader some good analysis, but overall, I wished for more of it. Thus, it prevents me from giving it an excellent rating.
