Adventure Time, Volume 4 by Ryan North

5.0

I love Adventure Time. It is hilarious and quirky and just strange enough. But this was beyond awesome. Not only were the stories fun and well paced, the second story about the Ice King actually made me feel things. Deep things about emotions or whatever. The story dealt with themes of aging, memory, vulnerability, depression, and self-worth. And let me remind you, this is Adventure Time we are talking about. Don't believe me? Read this "Sometimes I do think I should give up--just let the crown freeze, with me in it. Some days I can't remember a single reason to keep fighting...But giving up is easy. You know what's hard? To believe in you own worth, to know you've got something special in you even if nobody else can see it. Even when YOU can't."

Holy crap.
