The Bone Doll's Twin
by Lynn Flewelling
I love it. I adore the characters (Tobin! Ki! Tharin! Arkoniel! Brother!) and the story is full of heartbreak and joy and despair and hope and it's so dark. But there is also light.
I'm madly in love with Tobin, Ki and Tharin. If anyone of them dies, I'm going to cry. A lot. Especially about Ki. (gosh, I wish Tobin and Ki could meet Alec and Seregil...) And Brother? OMG! My heart is breaking so much for him and I wish I could give him a big hug.
It took me a bit to get into this story because it's so dark. I've read the "Nightrunner" series before and in comparison to it, this story is very dark. There is so much grief and hurt and heartbreak and all that is happening to a little child who has, at least in the beginning, no friends they could turn to for some comfort and distraction during all of it. *hugs Tobin so much* The premise of the story is very interesting and I'm curious how some things will be resolved. It will be very interesting to see who will be friend and who will be foe at the end...
