Waiting for You by Susane Colasanti

4.0

Though predictable, I really liked this book. I mean, I knew from the very beginning, when Jack came to have dinner with Marisa's family, that Marisa's mom was having an affair with him. And for much of the book, I suspected Nash was Dirk. Even so, it was one of those books where I kept going "oh, just one more chapter," since the chapters are pretty short, and then had to force myself to put down.

I really connected with Marisa's anxiety and her problems with that. I've had some anxiety/OCD issues myself, and it was comforting to know I'm not alone. People with those kinds of problems should read this book-- it made me feel better. And young adults in general should read this book, because it has a good message of what a good relationship looks like, which is a struggle most teens today are facing.
