Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones

4.0

Second Grave on the Left is the second installment within the Charley Davidson series. I slightly regret jumping into this because I last read the previous book about two years ago. So, yeah, I definitely didn't remember what happened beforehand and just winged it.

The one thing I have going for me though is liking Charley. Her sarcasm gives me joy and it just isn't fair with how often she's targeted by the bad guys. Just saying. Like her, I took this book at a stride because honestly, I had no other plan.

It also doesn't hurt that we get Reyes in this either. Although, I will admit that I'm slightly mad that we didn't get more of him. He really goes through some shit, and I need him to be safe and sound please. Plus, their romance needs more because I'm just not satisfied right now.

Don't get me wrong, it was good but I'm just being greedy right now. In the end, I'm definitely going to jump into the next book but maybe re-read the first book beforehand. Maybe. Who knows.
