The Zig Zag Girl by Elly Griffiths
2.0
Don't pay too much attention to the two stars. It was a fine book, well-written and paced well.
But it was a story about a killer picking off members of a team, and I just don't like those plots. They seem to show up on television cop shows a lot, and they seem to be the result of a lack of imagination. So the two stars are for the plot, and three stars for the characters and writing.
That being said, the characters are engaging and work well together. You can see the beginning of a series in this book, with it ending neatly, with an easy opening for the next book, and plenty of opportunity for character growth as all the people that survived have some issues that can be resolved in future stories.
So while I didn't care for the plot of this particular book, I'd be happy to read the next in the series.
