This was such a heart-warming read. At first, I was hesitant and wary because it's been a while since I've read YA and I didn't know if I would still enjoy it. But I remained engaged and excited throughout, and was always eager to pick it back up and find out what happened next. I found the plot twist at the end shocking, although I rarely correctly guess plot twists so idk how much that means.
I loved Felix and Ezra's relationship and how loving and protective Ezra was throughout the book, it was so comforting to see someone protecting Felix from all the transphobes at their school. Also I loved the diversity, as it is harder to find black trans rep, I think the author did a good job of accurately representing that demographic, and I found it informing to read as a cis person.
Overall, this was a good book and
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes YA in general
Fuck Marigold or whatever her name is, she really needs to educate herself. And Austin, but at least he knows he was wrong and apologised.
Although I am a Felix Ezra shipper first, I did like the Felix and Declan relationship, although it was horrible for Felix to catfish him to that extent, it got too complicated by the end.
