Declan & Braelynn: Tease Me Once by W. Winters

challenging dark tense medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

5.0

Plot: immaculate. Spice: immaculate. Characters: immaculate
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5 (it’s a BDSM underground night club… it’s- whew 😅)

This was an enjoyable read for me! I ate it right up and am onto the second book in the trilogy! It’s part of the Discreet Series, and its numbers 48-50: Declan and Braelynn. (These are read as stand alones, but these three in order). I seriously cannot wait to read the other (maybe) 50+ other books in the whole series!! I haven’t read much of W. Winters, but her ability to write such heartless yet compelling and loving characters is something else.

Declan has no heart when it comes to the people around him, except his little pet Braelynn, and poor Braelynn just wants to buy some bed sheets 😭 But I genuinely loved their dynamic in this first book. It’s an odd one, but we don’t shame in this house 😤 I think my favorite part is the fact that Declan ASKS whats wrong, finds the problem, works through what happened with Braelynn, and then has a solution and a plan for the future. Bonus points for everything being consensual and including a safe word!!
