Coyote's Mate is my favorite of the WHOLE series(Maybe a tie with Elizabeth's Wolf) however this is a book that is very close to my heart. I probably need a new print copy...that should tell you how much I have read this book because its a comfort read, always gets me out of book slumps and gives me all the feels!! Now I would say that this book can be read as a stand alone, as long as you understand the Breeds worldbuilding that Lora Leigh has done, then you will be good.

So this story begins with a prologue that I do feel is necessary to get some background information on this couple. So Anya worked with Del Ray Delgado for six years, where she worked with her father and cousins at a Breed lab but then they are betrayed and the man Anya thought she trusted and gave herself to, is the betrayer. Now her petition for mate seperation has been approved, but Anya's life isn't ever what she imagined that it would be.  Now Del Ray is back in her life and there is nothing that Anya can do to prevent it. The mating heat is stronger than ever between them but Del Ray is holding back. There is much hurt on both sides. What really is the downfall though is the lack of communication and a threat to Anya's life puts Del Ray into being a stupid man at times but he eventually sees the light.

Coyote's Mate is book number 13 in the Breeds series that Lora Leigh has created for us. I simply adore this book so much and Del Ray and Anya are one of my favorite couples that this author has created. I have a weakness for marriage on the rocks trope and this book fits this category just perfectly and Leigh really handles this relationship so well. At times you really want to strangle the hero, but he is so blind at times but you understand its out of love and being too over protective so you eventually forgive him. But Anya, I truly admired her strength in this story. She has such a strong inner core, and how she faces so much against her but never gives up and as the reader you grow to admire her tenacity from beginning to end.

I found Coyote's Breed to be a stunning delight that brings together off the charts sensuality, thrills and chills, and a love story you will never forget!! UNFORGETTABLE!
