I have been a constant reader of books by Stephen King for years. He is one of my favourite authors and I have read a lot of his books. There are still some that I haven't read but I will do, everything's eventual.

Never Flinch is another offering featuring Holly Gibney. I have yet to read the Mr Mercedes trilogy but have seen the tv series. I read The Outsider but gave Holly a miss. I decided to give Never Flinch ago which is likely to be the last outing for Holly which I'm not sad about. Give me Alan Pangborn or George Bannerman anyday.

In this yarn there is a killer on the loose known as The Surrogate Juror murderer and for me this was the best part of the book. A second storyline follows Holly as she becomes a bodyguard for a feminist speaker. Both these storyline merge eventually.

As with the majority of books Mr King is known for rambling on and this is no exception. I found myself towards the end becoming so bored and the book seemed never ending. I hate not enjoying a book by Stephen King as he is my favourite and he has wrote some cracking stuff in the early days.

I will always read books by Stephen King and I do want to reread some of his early stuff all over again. His newer stuff just doesn't seem to grab me and I feel disappointed everytime. I'm sure he can do a lot better.
