The Highly Sensitive Child: Helping Our Children Thrive When the World Overwhelms Them by Elaine Aron 4.5/5 ⭐️ - My entire life people have called me sensitive, and most times they don’t mean it in a nice way. What I have come to learn, with maturity and perspective, is that you can take your challenges and use them as a superpower. Most of the time I actually feel lucky to be sensitive to everything around me now; being perceptive, creative, thoughtful, and synthesizing are all important skills. I’ve also learned what triggers me to feel overwhelmed, so I can avoid that feeling as much as possible. As you can imagine, being a highly sensitive parent with a highly sensitive child can be extremely challenging. This book includes loads of actionable tips for parents of sensitive children at all ages. It’s no secret that Grace has had a lot of struggles lately, and we are doing everything we can to understand where she’s coming from so we can help her be the best she can be. This book definitely helped us in that journey. #rachels2020readinglist
