my second time reading this, and I'm excited to read the next book in the series immediately. this isn't normally my jam (contemporary fiction about a broken family) except that it's set during Christmas, and I have no recollection how I even ended up picking it up the first time, but I love it; it's so cozy and has the perfect balance of realism and sentimentality, and I love these characters very much.
