This is just a perfectly lovely book. I listened to it in a day. It is character driven and not plot driven. I recently learned about Tove Jansson when I was researching children's book authors. She wrote and illustrated the Moomin books. This isn't a Moomin book, but you can see the same wit and heart in it. The narration by Natasha Soudek suits the book perfectly.
