Tandem is one of those books where you see the potential and have to wait for the next book to fully flesh out the characters. I loved Rosalie's passion for cars and the rich girl x bad boy trope. AJ's rough upbringing is a stark contrast to Rosalie's wealthy lifestyle but their love of fast cars connects them.
Another good aspect of the book is how the characters are written. They are flawed and that makes them intriguing. I did have a hard time liking Rosalie and hope that she has some development in book 2.
The cliffhanger had me on the edge of my seat. The story is decked out with secrets, illegal activities, and a all-consuming romance.
