This is the most BEAUTIFUL graphic novel I've ever seen in my fuckin life holy fuck.
Look at the cover art. Look at all the detail in the cover. Well, the quality of the art in the ENTIRE series looks exactly like the cover. Every single panel is like that cover.
Every single panel is a stunning piece of art. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it. Pick any panel, any single panel, and I'd be like, I could never in a million years make something as fucking pretty as this ONE panel. It's insane. The details, the colour palette, the lighting. My brain still cannot comprehend it. I had to literally force myself to remember that there was a story to read because I would just zoom in to every single panel and just stare and study it like a painting in a museum. I was never going to finish this at that rate. lol
I really enjoyed the story too. This series gets a bit dark (that cat on the cover is not fucking around). Sure, I didn't love that that the main characters did come across a decent amount of good luck to help them survive some dangerous moments. And I would have also liked to know more about the characters and maybe have more of a personal journey and character development for them. But honestly those are such minor nitpicks. I really enjoyed reading this and I can not stress that this is 100% worth reading even just for the beautiful art.
There are all kinds of animals in this too and I was just blown away by the beautiful details in every single creature. Mega bonus points to the moose because I lurve moose and that was one FANTASTIC moose.
