The Golden Couple
by Greer Hendricks, Sarah Pekkanen
A very slow moving mystery story about a therapist and her new patients - a married coupled dealing with infidelity. The therapist has recently lost her license, which has freed her to practice unconventionally. She is also a whistleblower, who exposed a Pharmaceutical company’s cover up of a it’s deadly drug. Throughout the book, mysterious circumstances are happening to both the therapist and the married couple. The therapist knows the Pharmaceutical company is trying to scare her into revealing her source. She assumes the odd circumstances in her life are completely separate to those of her clients until both worlds collide.
The story lacked much action and suspense for the majority of the book. The conflict of the story wasn't made clear until the resolution - with all the action at the very end of the book with a few plot twists.
