Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell

5.0

It took me two days to even conjure up an idea on how to even explain how I felt about this book enough to have it in a review.

Let me just say, if you thought you could predict a book so surely and then instantly be so wrong, then read this. Otherwise if you do end up being right..

Mind reader..

Anywho the book is about Ellie Mack, an intelligent, wise 16 year old who went missing. Ellie had it made, the perfect family, being the youngest, the most beautiful, and the most spoiled kid in her family. She loved to study, do good in school and had the most perfect boyfriend. Laurel was in love with how happy her daughter was that it led to years of neglect to her two other children and spouse. One day Ellie was supposed to just go and study at the library but she never made it. The twists and turns after that, is what tremendously let’s you down.

I just want to say this book was everything and more to me if I hadn’t have had to work everyday I would’ve finished it a second, this book definitely had me ready to rip pages out and then had me crying. I feel for Ellie and everything she had to go through, no 16 year old should’ve had to.. and for Noelle Donnelly you are one horrible woman, I don’t wish what happened to you upon everyone, but I cannot believe everything you had done. Despicable doesn’t even amount to what type of person you are..
