An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

While I didn't love this as much as Sorcery of Thorns, this was still a very enjoyable read.

I listened to this on audio, and I really loved the narrator. This book was filled with very lyrical writing that was filled with simile and metaphor. Usually, this is not my thing, but the main character is an artist so it was actually very appropriate for her to see things and describe them in the way that she did.

While I did enjoy my time spent with this book, I didn't like that Isobel was so "knowledgeable" about the fae. I understand why she was, but she would always speak about them in absolutes and because we, as the reader, didn't get to see what she assumed, it felt judgemental.

For this reason, I didn't really believe the romance either. I didn't get to see it actually happen, and we are just supposed to take it at face value.
