Firstly, the plot…the whole thing where Dell’s mom outs Donny in front of everyone was so icky for me…she knew what she was doing and she didn’t apologise once, nor did anyone seem to realise that what she did was wrong in any way. Dell goes on a whole tangent about how he ignored him for weeks after being outed and how hurt Dell was...but your mom just outed him in front of ALL of his family?? and you took that in stride, never looked back?? and you complain that Donny ignored you, but did you tell him you were sorry, tell him you were there for him, that everything would work out…not even a word of support? in a very difficult time for him, when we are told he stopped eating? And aside from that, it didn’t feel right with me, it felt a little too convenient for the plot…the closeted guy gets outed, the love interest gets hurt, the closeted guy realises he is all I need in life and happy ever after

Secondly, there were just a few random misogynistic remarks that put me off to the point to the point I nearly DNF’ed. Like yeah I get it he’s a player and an alpha macho dude but dude…really?

Anyways it was a fun-ish read overall, though i wouldn’t read it again…
