The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor by Arthur Conan Doyle

4.0

What made this story so interesting to me was not so much the mystery involved, but rather the insight into Holmes's character and his view of aristocrats, Americans, and angry police inspectors. I was impressed with his composure during these situations. He always managed to make his opinions known without being TOO insulting. He's a pretty cool guy, you know. I'm not sure why the recent fancy has been to try to make his character into a sociopath, because I don't see that in his stories at all. I'll harp on that another time, though.
