This Summer made me dislike a child. Rose is going through some stuff, but dang, so annoying with her misplaced anger and judgements. I liked Windy a lot; she was always eating and looked very young, and was fun all the time. The book tacked serious topics such as friendship, family dynamics, toxic masculinity, and suicide. The illustrations were so realistic and emotional. Really gave me summer vibes. Black and white imaging was a great way to show case this story. Good job.
