One Night at the Call Center by Chetan Bhagat
2.0

I read this book as it takes place in the town that I'm currently living in. It was fun to read about places that I've been to as well as get an insight into Indian youth, especially since about 75% people in my office are under the age of 30. The story takes place over a single night and involves 6 call center employees - 3 guys and 3 girls. The story is about their lives, their interactions with each other and their less-than-satisfying life in the call center. Despite the fact that some of the characters came across as whiny, materialistic and with a chip on their shoulders, I can relate many of them to people I've met. What made the story less compelling was the anti-American sentiment as well as the immature response to a "right-sizing" threat.
