A fantastic read, I just found a new favorite author. I added this book to my "to read" list over 2 years ago -- and finally picked it up this month. Knowing nothing about it other than I was once interested in reading it. There were several times where I audibly gasped, the characters were well written and their actions felt truly authentic. Life imitating art.
The plot of this book follows several characters, among them Mei, a college student who finds herself at the beginning of a sickness that spreads first through her class and later through the whole town. People begin to sleep, and not wake up.
This may have once been an interesting tale of fiction, however living in our post-pandemic world, the story told here hit a little harder. Loved it.
