Well… that was disappointing.
I so wanted to love this story, as I’ve previously loved The Dead Romantics and The Seven Year Slip. But for something so beautifully written, this was so… flat. One dimensional. The narrator/FMC was whiny and, omg, repetitive. We never truly got to know the MMC, the love story was forced and rushed. The spicy scenes started great then were over in a single boring sentence.
The concept for the book is truly something that could have been spectacular, but I’m thinking of so many other ways the plot could have gone that would have been a million times better.
Two stars simply because the writing was beautiful, everything else just sucked.
