Here's what I liked:
-I love books based in Trinidad and Tobago. It's beautiful to read phrases I've used my entire life, easier for me to visualize the landscape, and relate to the music and cultural references.
-The romance was cute, although frustrating for most of the book because of the standard troupe of lack of communication.
Here's what I really struggled with:
-Were Reyna and Aiden really in their teens? Reyna was almost 18th but came across like she was in her late 20s/early 30s and the same for Aiden. It made me confused and I felt like I couldn't be fully immersed in the story. I think if they weren't so young, this story would have made more sense.
