The Tenant of Wildfell Hall
by Anne Brontë
no Victorian author has been able to capture the harshness of a loveless marriage the way Anne Brontë has. it flies in the face of a typical romance novel, and is truly revolutionary for its time. Anne Brontë did not get the recognition she deserved, even from her own sisters. this is a must read, for feminists and for those who are tired of the kind of story that Lifetime would produce.
