A great sequel. Much more adventure compared to the first book. Of Blood and Fire needed to set the scene and build us up to something, where now it can just flow without too much explanation. The battle scenes were easy to read and flowed well, so much so that all of a sudden you'd see that you read through 20 or so pages in a flash. This was a bigger book and ended in a bit of a cliffhanger. I personally cannot wait to hear more about Ella and Fardas story. Bottom line, should someone continue this series after reading this book: YES. I'm taking a quick break in between this and the next book just to cleanse my pallet with a short biography read before I dive into the absolute beast of a book that is Of War and Ruin.
