The Angel of Indian Lake by Stephen Graham Jones
5.0
Wow. This was an absolutely amazing finish to that series.
Book 1 was typical of a 3 part series, where there was a lot of character work, and world building. This made it slow and info-dumpy until the world was established, then it was a wild roller-coaster ride of action.
Book 2 expanded on the character work a little but dropped you right into the action with only a little world building in reference to its relevance to the plot.
Book 3 was wild from start to finish. The plot was fast paced, well thought out, and tied up every loose end it possibly could from throughout the entire series.
The characters were excellent.
The genre references were on point. These are must reads for anyone who likes the slasher genre. Not only are they excellent, they're like taking a college course on the subject. So informative and well organized.
