Escape into Meaning: Essays on Superman, Public Benches, and Other Obsessions by Evan Puschak

challenging hopeful informative inspiring lighthearted reflective medium-paced

5.0

I find that there are two types of essay collections: you have the 300-seat lecture hall, and the 8-person focus group. Escape into Meaning is the latter, where Puschak actually, delightfully, speaks my language. He contextualizes his thoughts in a manner that resonates with me, and it makes all the difference. I relish in his ability to point at something, like a park bench, and make me realize how precious, and meaningful our time on this Earth is. Yeah.
