Wow! I was absolutely enraptured reading The Nightingale! It's the tale of French sisters during WWII with Vianne (quiet in her bubble) and Isabelle (vocal and wanting love) being two memorable heroines that change in the war. There is so much heart and loss in the story. It really kept me guessing on who the mother was in the future time line.
