“As I said at the beginning, this is a horror story.”
I was planning on reading this next month, but when my non-reader of a husband decided to listen to this audiobook, I couldn’t resist joining him!
First, this short novel packs a punch. The plot is nothing ground-breaking, focusing on a kid that can see dead people, but it is the way King writes that is masterful, full of humour and indeed horror that gets to you. I was laughing and freaking out at the same time, getting tenser and tenser (I’m rubbish at horror). I loved it, even more so when the author made reference to one of my favourite ghost stories (M.R. James) :O)
