ARC review: I love this series and I’m sad that this was the last book. I was so excited for Jack’s and Niki‘s story. After book one, I assumed that dex and Nikki we’re going to have some type of past that had to do with what she was running from and his sister, which I was kind of right about, but it didn’t play out the Way I thought it was going and I honestly loved the way their story was written. This was pretty fast paced and I wish it would have dove a little deeper at points especially surrounding the stuff with Dexs sister there wasn’t a ton of details and I was so hoping there was going to be a twist there but it all felt a little glossed over. Otherwise I really loved the dynamic of Nikki and Dex they match each others energy and I could feel their tension through the page! Another thing that I love is the friendships in this series and this book didn’t disappoint there! Especially the bromances Dex has, I just love him! While the overall pacing of this book is fast with short chapters, it was definitely a slower burn with the spice which I wasnt Expecting but loved, and when the spice hits? Ohhhh man 🥵 okay last thing, I want all authors to title chapters the way Marie does because it just elevates your experience and makes you chuckle when it’s unhinged!
I’m excited to see what’s next for Marie’s new series!
