“Magic and other Misdemeanors” is another gripping addition to Michael Buckley’s “The Sisters Grimm Series.”

This was one of my favourite middle grade series growing up and I’m so excited to revisit it as an adult to see how it holds up. The book is just as whimsical as I remembered, taking the classic fairytales and turning them on their heads.

“Magic and Misdemeanors” is the most buck wild book in the “Sisters Grimm” series (at least so far). The stakes are higher than they’ve ever been with more and more of the town turning against the Grimm family.

This book still had a mystery for the Grimms to solve—with Sabrina and Daphne taking lead on the investigation—but it serves as the tipping point for the larger plot Buckley’s been leading up to—who is the Scarlet Hand and how do the Grimms save the day?
