Strong character development: Yes

A short and fast read, cuts to the point. Good girl Mia resorts to being auctioned due to her POS fiance burying them in gambling debts; she's bought by Alessio, who awakens her kinkier side in the bedroom. This isn't a typical HEA but rather a Happy For Now. Personally, I didn't love the storyline with the fiance and/or mob he owed and I couldn't quite buy the emotional investment from Alessio (nor their coupling in general, considering all we'd had between them was sex), but the smut is sexy as hell and it's an easy read.
