Funny graphic novel. Perfect for beginner readers. Many cvc and sight words with some more challenging ones mixed it. Dog man is a half-dog half-cop who helps out the police department. This installment also featured Petey the evil cat, his kitten clone (who turns out to be sweet) and a number of other entertaining characters. Good for probably ages 5-8. My son loved it and can’t wait to read the rest of the series. He also loved the pictures of kids reading to dogs included at the back. It inspired him to read to cats and dogs at our local shelter.
