Spoiler alert
I read this book when I was 13. I was for several years under the impression that this was a diary, published by Nancy’s mother. I truly thought this was based on a true story based on what the author said, or the author come to find out that the author was actually a very well-known serial hooker. This book is not based on a true story and I was incredibly disappointed when I found that out, because what kind of person takes an actual diary and adds a bunch of fake stuff to it and then publishes it for money who does that?
