★★★★ // after going through several Emily Henry books, this one turned became my favorite. perhaps i’m just a big sucker for friends-to-lover stories, but i genuinely loved both Poppy and Alex and their years-long history. i found myself smiling widely as i read the last two chapters and the epilogue like i was just so happy for the happiness of two people who tried so hard to deny something that has always been there. we can only truly be happy if we allow ourselves to be happy and that’s a choice we make everyday.
