I do appreciate a clean southern women’s fiction novel. No sex, language or worldly ideologies. But this one dragged on a bit for me, which is why I kept putting it down and picking it up over the course of almost two years. 

I am determined to be a Lauren K. Denton completist, so I will read the rest of her backlist!
