Be Dazzled was so funny and warm and full of light. A YA love story, with cosplaying and crafting! Before reading this I knew next to nothing about the world of cosplay, but it was so fascinating to read about everything that goes into creating one. I adored watching Raffy, an anxiety-filled little bean, who just wants to be seen and respected by his mother, who completely looks down on everything he loves, find his footing in the world of crafting. And the queer romance was just so darn adorable, the kind where you just can’t help but smile. I was rooting for them from the very beginning. The narrative is told in alternating chapters from when Raffy and Luca first met, to a year later where they seem to have already grown apart. So you are kept wondering, where did things go wrong? And, will they be able to fix things?
I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a lighthearted fluffy love story! I had such a delightful time reading this and I cannot wait to read more by Ryan La Sala.
