God Creates a Snake by Charles Peterson
4.0
This was a cute find off the shelf this morning. We see God (who has a purple cosmic skin tone) "finishing up" his creation of the snake. The illustrations are quirky with lots of expression and humor. While it has a religious tone, it doesn't come across as overly "preachy," which I could see being a turn-off for some readers.
For: snake fans; readers wanting a silly book about creation.
Possible red flags: some readers may not appreciate the fact that this book isn't a serious discussion about creation, while others may be turned-off by the religious side of it.
