This book has brought me back to my obsession with high fantasy. A great world, built while the action is happening. A young male protagonist who you cannot help but root for! Who do you trust? Is everything as it seems?
The magic system is quite complex, this was the hardest part of the book for me. I slowed way down so I would comprehend the magnitude of all the happenings later and it really paid off.
This book feels like a dark academia version of Dune, high stakes, found family and a lot of twists that keep you on your toes!
