A detailed account of four rich white women accessing divorce at a time when it was hard to come by because they had the resources & social capital to do so.
I found myself wondering if these women really “revolutionized” anything as the title suggests. I guess because they were the Kardashians of their day, they set a public precedent for divorce that common women could dream (but probably not do anything) about?
I appreciated the perspective on how far we’ve come with respect to a woman’s right to choose (divorce anyway… sigh…), but I’m not sure I needed more light shed on the privileges of the elite.
