Long Time Waiting by Ann Anderson

I'm torn on this one. The story was sweet enough, but it felt like too much going on. I didn't get why Chris never complained or even confronted Dale about his very obvious cockblocking. I thought the side stories about Tommy, and about Kyoshi and Adam were obvious sequel bait, and the actual details of the D&D game were just bizarre and unneeded. Show them playing and goofing off, sure, fantastic, I'm an old D&D player, but several pages of a campaign just dragged me out of the story.

And then the epilogue,
Spoiler the guys are together now, but decide to not be roommates anymore? This made no sense to me. <\spoiler>
