The Nightingale
by Kristin Hannah
Listened to on audiobook. I am fascinated by stories of Occupied France during WWII. This book was no exception. I was engrossed right away with the relationship between the 2 sisters and how they dealt with the things happening as the Nazis took over France. You really got a sense of how horrible and terrifying those times were.
The reader was fantastic and really made the world come alive, but I think I would have loved it if I had read it in print also, since the world was in the writing. I really hope they make this into a movie.
As much as I liked All The Light We Cannot See, I feel that this book is more "real", and if I had to choose which one of the two to read, I'd pick this one. Highly recommend.
