callistawolf 's review for:
Luck and Last Resorts
by Sarah Grunder Ruiz
This was a really sweet book with an entirely different setting than I usually see in romance novels with a story that's different from most romance novels as well. This was a long road for these two, told in current day as well as flashbacks with some time jumps and I know that sounds confusing but it wasn't really, not as you're reading it. I did feel frustration towards Nina but I thought her issues and how she at first ran from them and then how she confronted them made perfect sense for her character. Ollie was a damn delight. You almost never see male main characters under six feet tall so that was so dang refreshing! He was a delightful man and I wanted to just put him in my pocket and keep him safe. What a darling. Plus the accent? Swoon!
Great book, definitely recommend.
