Not my favorite Gaiman but still a fascinating story. I loved the modernization of all the gods and the depiction of American culture and legacy. Honestly kind of impressive how well a British author was able to write about America. A lot of the technology/modernization commentary ages super well as well. The first half of this book was very slow and a little bit of a struggle to get through, and there were a lot of r/menwritingwomen moments, but the second half was a huge improvement and I'm glad I stuck it out til the end.
