Rose by Jewels Arthur

Look, I know that there are much better novels in the world right now. I have A Starless Sea on the shelf waiting to be read. I have Crescent City on the shelf waiting to be read. But you know what it is? I'm not in the mood for them. I want short and quick and happy stories. I wanna smile by the end of the book. I wanna shut off my brain for a few seconds. Luckily, thanks to all those amazing authors, I have an iPad filled with them.

This book was on my wishlist for quite some time already and I was so happy when it was offered for free! And the book was exactly what I had hoped it would be. The first half of the book was quite exciting, especially with the attraction between Rose and the guys and the rules preventing them from acting on it combined with the Jason guy. And the second half was this sweet relief, that soft caress after a long day at work.

I was smiling when I finished the book and mostly because Rose is an amazing character. A lot of characters in books act so unlike me in certain situations, but Rose did what I would have done, the smart thing. (Annette, arrogance isn't pretty!) It was such a nice thing to read and to see done. And although Rose and I don't share our posture, I know her doubts all too well. It was therefore easy to connect with her and to feel for her.

And her three guys were quite awesome too. I loved how they were different enough to tell them apart by actions and I loved how they were constantly having Rose's wellbeing as their priority. Especially because her being well, was not always in their best interest. It's the kinda guy(s) I want to meet and have my happily ever after with.
