I genuinely struggled to get through this book but I finished it... I would not recommend it. It's not particularly bad, it's just extremely low stakes until the last 25% of the book. I actually partially predicted the plot twist early on and then I forgot about it, so I was genuinely flabbergasted at the reveal, but that's all this book has to offer. It's not spicy. It's not fun. no character is particularly likably, especially the FMC (I think she's justified in her actions most of the time, she just came off as childish for the majority of the book). I'm extremely indifferent about this book. I don't think this is an Elle Kennedy book worth reading.
